The first solution (changing a Firefox config parameter) had no effect.

The second solution (using the Web Developer toolbar) works. I consider this an acceptable work-around until the Firefox bug is resolved.

Thank you for your patience - hopefully FireFox fixes this soon. On my end, I'll look into maybe working around it somehow - but I can't promise anything...
