Sorry about the late response.
In general we are very open to integrating the cart recovery service with other third party email/autoresponder tools. At this point in time we think that IntelliContact has the most suitable feature set.
The main reason for this is that IntelliContact does not require a double opt-in message to be sent out when adding new subscribers. Sending out a canned "Please confirm your subscription" before sending the actual cart recovery message seems counter-productive in our opinion.
